Form and Size: Large spreading shrub or small tree to 6m; angular, reddish branchlets.
Distribution: Near-coastal areas of Qld. and N.S.W., from the Burdekin basin to northern N.S.W.
Phyllodes: Sickle-shaped, tapering to both ends, green, 8-15cm x 0.7-2.5cm: 3-5 prominent longitudinal veins radiating from the lower margin near the base.
Flowers: Pale yellow spikes, 3-8cm long, borne singly or in pairs in the leaf axils.
Flowering Period: April to October.
Fruit: Pods, narrow, thick, dark brown, twisted, 7-10cm x 0.3-0.4cm: seeds longitudinal in the pod.
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed.
