Form and Size: Medium shrub, 2-3m high, with a distinct varnished appearance.

Distribution: Central and north-western Qld, N.T. and W.A.; on sandy soils and along stream banks.

Phyllodes: Sickle-shaped, blunt, tips with a varnished appearance, 10-16cm x 2.5-5cm.

Flowers: Yellow spikes, 2-5cm long.

Flowering Period: May to June.

Fruit: Pods, narrow, smooth, sticky, 4-6cm x 0.7-0.8cm; slightly constricted between the seeds; seeds longitudinal or oblique in the pod.

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed.
