Form and Size: A small to medium tree, 10-15m high, with slender branches; it lacks aerial roots
Distribution: Rainforests of north-eastern Qld
Leaves: Oblong or oval, dark green and rough above, paler beneath, margins having small teeth, 5-10cm x 1.5-4cm; new growth rough to the touch
Bark: Grey-brown, fibrous
Receptacles: Globular, 0.6-0.8cm diameter; borne on the trunk and older branches
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from seed, aerial layers or cuttings. A very attractive tree which is not too large for a suburban allotment.
