Hibbertia stirlingii Dilleniaceae

Form and Size: A compact dwarf shrub, 0.1- 0.5m high, with reddish, wiry, much-branched stems

Distribution: Herberton Range, western Atherton Tablelands, and west of Paluma, north Qld

Leaves: Narrow, blunt, dark green, margins strongly turned under, 1.5-2cm x about 0.1cm;
new growth reddish and covered with star-like hairs

Flowers: Bright yellow, 1-1.2cm diameter, on stalks with dense star-like hairs

Flowering Period: June to October.
