Form and Size: A small spreading shrub to 1m, with angular reddish branches.

Distribution: Limited to several localities close to Townsville, Qld., including Magnetic Island; in shallow stony soils.

Phyllodes: Narrow, two raised ribs on each surface, distinct marginal veins, 1.2-2.2cm x about 0.16cm.

Flowers: Bright yellow spikes, 2-2.5cm long.

Flowering Period: February.

Fruit: Pods, flat, prominent pale margins, about 8cm x 0.8cm.

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed. One of the smaller Wattles, suitable for growing in rockeries.
