Brown Pearwood
Form and Size: Bushy tree, 8-10m tall
Distribution: Cape York Peninsula, Qld to the Tweed River in NSW
Leaves: Narrow-oval, dark green above, rusty-grey and densely hairy beneath, to 12cm x 4cm
Bark: Grey, rough
Flowers: Small, creamy; in small clusters in the upper leaf axils
Flowering Period: February to May
Fruit: Globular, blue-black, smooth, about 5cm diameter
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed
