Thread-leaf Hop Bush
Form and Size: A small or tall shrub, 1-5m high, with erect, slender, arching branches
Distribution: Qld north to White Mountains and NSW; generally following the Great Dividing Range
Leaves: Very narrow, 2-8cm x 0.3cm
Flowers: Male and female on separate plants, lime green; borne in terminal clusters
Flowering Period: June to August
Fruit: Capsules, 3-4 winged, yellowish deepening to bright pink to purple-brown, about 1.3cm x 1.3cm
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed or cuttings. A very colourful bush when carrying fruit, which remain on the plant for a considerable time. Needs well drained soil and full sunshine.
