Distribution: Open forests throughout central and eastern Queensland
Leaves: Simple, alternate, generally oblong with distinct hooded domatia on under side at leaf base
Flowers: Small, compact and cream
Flowering Period: Summer months
Fruit: Berries, about 1cm in diameter, black when ripe
