Form and Size: A rainforest tree to 15m in height.

Distribution: Coastal rainforests and rainforest margins; Cairns to Cardwell in northern Qld.

Phyllodes: Narrow, straight or curved, 8-13cm long; lime green in colour.

Bark: Branchlets are reddish.

Flowers: Bright yellow ball flowers in small clusters.

Flowering Period: August to September.

Fruit: Pods, oblong, papery, 7-9cm long.

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed. Fast growing; requires well drained soil and some protection when young.
