Form and Size: Small to medium shrub 1-4m in height with ribbed, sticky branches.

Distribution: Central Australia and in the White Mountains area in north Qld.; in open woodland

Phyllodes: Lance-shaped, smooth, sticky, scented, 4-7cm x 0.5-1.8cm; network of prominent veins.

Flowers: Bright yellow ball flowers, borne singly or in pairs in the leaf axils.

Flowering Period: June to October.

Fruit: Pods, flat, light brown, papery, shiny, 5-10cm x 1-1.5cm; rustle in the wind.

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from treated seed. Requires full sun and good drainage.
